A FAREWELL ADDRESS FROM THE FORMER ACTING PRESIDENT TAYONIA
I would first like to take a moment to recognize Saint Shem and his accomplishments, which further propelled our region into what it is today. As I am sure many of you have figured out, by now, I will not be running for re-election. I was elected as your vice president and I did my duty as vice president; as such, I wish the successor to both my office and the office of the president the best as they take the helm of our ship of state. I anticipate that our region will continue to flourish under the code of laws that we have collectively enacted to govern ourselves under the just powers that we consent to, the curtailing of our extensive liberties for the privilege of a free society and the rule of law, endowing all citizens with the rights, responsibilities, and equality that we expect as citizens of a ruled by our duly elected peers. It is my expectation that our government will continue to rightfully protect and serve the people of the Natan Region. As long as our people are strong, as long as our government is strong, and as long as our faith is our unity is strong, then we, as a region, will prosper. With that said, I announce my retirement from public life, pleased at all that we have accomplished in my term as vice president and interim term as acting president. For now, I shall consign myself to life as a private citizen, until the call of my region summons me into her service, once again.
Yours respectfully,
Tayonia
