I have an objection Your Honor. It is possible that Saint Shem and the Shemiki Ambassador are the same person, which would mean the defense is utilizing itself as a different witness rather than using himself as a witness. It is one of charges of a crime towards Saint Shem; the nation is on trial for allegedly being Shemiki, a country that was removed from the Region and later discovered to have several deep cover agents in the Region's government and military. It would be wrong for the Ambassador to testify on behalf of the defense. It is possible that there is procedural corruption.

In response to the fact that the trial is not very speedy, the Prosecution apologizes for this, we all have busy lives. Of course, this puts great strain on the defendant, and on the entire process. From now on, the Regional Prosecution will check the trial forum daily and will respond duly, to ensure due process for the defendant. Perhaps we could put a deadline to have a decision on the verdict, in order to have incentive for everyone to make the trial go quickly.

It is required that Saint Shem is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Saint Shem may continue his questioning of Shemiki.

Thank you, Your Honour. To save time, the defence will enter the following into evidence. www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=24847813This RMB post is Shemiki's original testimony regarding the controversy over whether I was he or not. natanregion.freeforums.net/post/2632This is a photo of Shemiki and myself. I am on the right in the sunglasses. Now, Shemiki, do you have any other evidence that might further convince the court as to our separate identities?

Your Honor, the defense submits the above recording into evidence. The state may now cross-examine the witness. Proper phrasing is "The People may now Cross-examine the witness". Also acceptable are "Prosecution" and "Region".

All matters of technical correctness are for Your Honour to decide, not he.

Actually, not even the judge makes such a determination. It's simply a matter of protocol, and personal preference. you may speak whatever you want. I'm just saying that those are the most accurate terms, especially considering the fact that the Natan Region is in fact, not a state, so it would be incorrect to refer to it as such. Just like how the federal government doesn't go by state, and the commonwealth states go by "commonwealth" instead of state in trials.

The Regional Government hereby drops all charges against the Republic of Saint Shem, Your Honor. The prosecution moves to dismiss the case against Saint Shem.
